Historically, the “pre-tied(ready-made) type” has existed since the late 19th century, when bow ties first became popular, as has the “self tie type”. Both have coexisted for a long time, but the “pre-tied type” is more common today.

The "Lavallière" means a "large bowknot neckwear" in French, and today, we tend to think of it as the same neckwear as the "Ascot tie (Plastron)", which is wide neckwear.

In our brand, the pre-tied bow tie "Lavalliere" with short dimensions is classified as one of the wide bow ties under the name "Short-lavalliere". "Small-short-lavalliere" and "Short-lavalliere" are further classified by size.
