Historically, the “pre-tied(ready-made) type” has existed since the late 19th century, when bow ties first became popular, as has the “self tie type”. Both have coexisted for a long time, but the “pre-tied type” is more common today.

The "Pointed bottoms" is a design which gives and impression that the bottom end of a Butterfly bow tie became extremely sharp. Historically, we can see it in the portrait of the Austrian conductor, Erich Kleiber, around 1940.

It is one of the large bow tie designs called the "Big bow", which was popular in the 1970s. Our brand classifies the "Big bow" into three shapes, and the other two are the "Wide butterfly" and the "Inflated bottoms".
